Cooling Compressors Price Fixing Class Action

Cooling compressors of less than one horsepower, and cooling compressor products, were alleged to be the subject of a national price-fixing conspiracy.

Our lawyers were members of a national team that successfully litigated a case against the manufacturers of cooling compressors, alleging that they entered into illegal agreements to set market share divisions, price targets, and price increases between January 1, 2004 and December 31, 2008.

The action was certified as a class proceeding for the purposes of giving effect to a 4.77 million dollar settlement on January 22, 2016. A successful notice, claims and distribution process followed, resulting in the distribution of the settlement recoveries to class members.  Class members received their cash compensation in 2018.
