Over the course of approximately four years, a company called Ontario Energy Group is alleged to have presented Ontario consumers with misleading and unlawful contracts via door-to-door sales.

Northland Resources S.A. made a stunning announcement to investors: a $425 million dollar cost overrun in the development of its Kaunisvaara mine project.

Lawnmowers Horsepower Ratings Conspiracy

This class action was brought on behalf of all Canadians who purchased a lawnmower containing a gas combustible engine of 30 horsepower or less.

Parking Heaters Price Fixing

Parking Heaters are used in various types of commercial vehicles to heat the engine and cabin in lieu of idling. This proposed class action alleges that the defendants conspired to fix the price of Parking Heaters.

German Automobiles

This class action alleges long-standing anticompetitive conduct by the so-called “German Five” automakers. The defendants are alleged to have established “working groups” to collude on virtually all aspects of automotive design, development, manufacturing, and marketing.

Small-Sized Ball Bearings

This class action alleged that certain manufacturers engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of small-sized ball bearings in Canada.

Navistar MaxxForce EGR Engine Product Liability

In 2010, Navistar introduced the MaxxForce EGR Engines to reduce emissions. Following the engines’ release, Navistar received complaints of mechanical issues and engine breakdowns.

CN Fuel Surcharge Tariffs

This class action claims that the Canadian National Railway Company (CN) charged certain unlawful fuel surcharge tariffs on customers who purchased CN’s rail freight shipping services. 

Hard Disk Drive Suspension Assemblies

This class action alleges that certain manufacturers of HDD suspension assemblies engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of HDD suspension assemblies in Canada.

Linear Resistors

Linear resistors are small components used to regulate current in electrical circuits, and are found in most modern electronic devices. This class action alleges that certain resistors manufacturers engaged in an illegal cartel to fix prices of linear resistors in Canada.

Vehicle Carrier Services Price Fixing

Vehicle carriers transport large numbers of cars, trucks, or other automotive vehicles including agriculture and construction equipment over oceans using specialized cargo ships known as Roll On/Roll Off vessels.

Kew Media Group

This class action alleges that Kew Media Group and certain of its directors and officers made material misstatements of the company’s working capital.

Google Tracking Privacy

This action involves Google’s alleged collection of personal information from Canadians using Google services.

Trans-Atlantic/Trans-Pacific Passenger Surcharge

These class actions allege that certain airlines engaged in illegal conspiracies to raise the price of air travel services, by adopting and adjusting various surcharges added to the price of base airfares.

Flo: Health & Period Tracker

The claim alleges that Flo collected, tracked, and sold the sensitive and valuable personal information to its customers.

Immigration Imprisonment

The claim alleges that the CBSA detains non-citizens in correctional facilities for immigration related purposes contrary to domestic and international legal rules.

Agromart & Sollio AG Privacy Breach

The claim alleges that hackers were able to penetrate Agromart and Sollio AG’s systems due to substandard cybersecurity systems.

Canadian Football League

The claim alleged that the Canadian Football League and other named defendants had systematically failed to warn former players of traumatic brain injury risk and to prevent traumatic brain injuries in CFL players

General Motors and General Dynamics Pension

The class action sought relief for an alleged shortfall in pension benefits payable to salaried employees who transferred from GM’s defense-based business to GD.

 

Canada Life Assurance Pension

This action concerned the rights of plan members to a substantial pension surplus, certain unilateral actions of Canada Life and the Trustees.
